mr. & mrs. whiting

I'm telling you, even in IL, you can't go wrong with gardens
Samantha and Britton had their entire dream wedding planned out. July 4. In Canada. Epic backdrops. Epic good time. But like so many other 2020 couples, life had other plans.

I went to HS with Sam and we were reunited at our 11 year reunion (yes, 11 because someone slacked). We were chatting all things wedding and she was telling me all about her Canadian plans. Fast forward to a few months ago with these two were facing the harsh reality of moving their plans. Sam reached out to me to see if I was comfortable photographing a small, intimate wedding, near our hometown! You already know my answer.

These Japanese Gardens are tucked away in Geneva right along the Fox River, but they look like don't even belong in Illinois. It was a STUNNING location for the sweetest ceremony and photo session with their bridal party and parents.

Despite downsizing, Sam and Britton did not cut corners on their style. Town and Country Gardens knocked it out of the park with the peaches in her bouquets and hair piece that tied perfectly with the sage accents and brown leather suspenders. I loved the summery look of this day and despite being dripping in sweat by the end of it; everything was perfection.

Congratulations Sam and Britton!
