A dream, really.
Let it be known now, after two weddings in the greater Phoenix area, my new wish is to be a snow bird and photograph Arizona weddings during Chicago's winters.
Now that that statement has been made public, Nick and Mollye. WHEW! I'm obsessed with these two! Mollye is the sister of Katie, whose wedding I photographed back in 2020. When she realized I travel for weddings, it was a done deal!
These two just know how to have a good time! Between the constant laughter, funny faces together and epic dance party; it's just so obvious that Mollye and Nick are made for each other. Their family and friends see it too, because I had to shoot some moments in between tears while listening to their toasts!
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two tied the knot nestled between Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain. This midwestern girl was in constant awe of the landscape and the casual desert views. I simply couldn't get enough! There's something so fun about shooting somewhere that's new; you see it with fresh eyes and appreciate the beauty in many of the things that have become common to the locals!
There's just so much about this wedding I loved (tbh, all of it), but some stand out details that are fresh in my memory are the cactus name cards (like, what, so cute!) the bar sign with their pups on it and the soft desert pinks that decorated the dining space. It was just all so beautiful!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Erikson!
