It was round 2 for these two lovebirds!
Jenna and Jason got their big party! You might remember these two from 2020 when I photographed their intimate ceremony. It was back when you could only gather with 10 people outside, so they said I Do in Jenna's parent's back yard with only their immediate families. Finally, it was time for them to have their celebration with all of their loved ones!
One of the amazing things about this reception was that it amplified their original aesthetic. They truly wanted their guests to feel like they got to attend that 2020 ceremony, so they kept the same floral theme, colors and decor elements and put it on steroids! They even had a little display set up featuring the photos from that November ceremony. It was seriously so magical to see! They had a blessing at their church to let their family and friends partake in their union.
While the Chicago weather really showed us, (I'm talking like the entire sky opening up right as we started Mr. and Mrs. portraits) these two took everything in stride! Since the Harold Washington Library has a glass ceiling, guests got to enjoy their yummy dinner under the light show of lightning and the sound of rain pattering on the glass. SUPER ROMANTIC!
I'm so excited to share these photos! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Riddell!
