The first wedding on 2021 has SET. THE. BAR!
I'm so excited to be sitting here blogging a wedding that resembles what we think of as "normal!" It's been a loooooong year of pivoting and I'm just so stoked that 2021 is looking up for all the couples!
Becca & Kyle were one of those couples that had to postpone their original plans. They were supposed to be married last October but changed their plans as COVID persisted. Luckily, by April, Illinois improved and they were able to throw a bash with their closest family and friends at the Ivy Room!
Something about time making you wait even longer for your wedding day, it makes you that much more grateful for the day when it comes. Becca & Kyle could not stop smiling the entire day and adopted the attitude of "I don't really care anymore, let's just get married!" We started to get nervous a few days out as Chicago protests picked up, but on Saturday, the sun shone and the downtown area was safe to mosey about.
I'm so honored to have been able to capture this stunning day for this couple. It was the perfect wedding to kickstart my 2021 season and I just know they are SO EXCITED to finally be Mr. and Mrs.
Congratulations you two!
